Position: Software Support Engineer (Indian subcontinent)
Location: Chennai, India
Reports to: Direct reporting relationship to Regional Software Engineering Manager
Start Date: Immediate


Primary responsibilities:

  • Work in customer NOC in Chennai, India
  • Software configuration, administration and troubleshooting, including:
    • Operating and maintaining RAMP, Xiocom's Web-based network management system.
    • Administering MySQL databases.
    • General Linux administration.
    • Collecting and analyzing customer information.
    • Deploying and maintaining third-party network monitoring applications (Zabbix, cacti etc.)
    • Interacting with and supporting the customer's deployment/activation team.
    • Visiting sites to collect data.
    • Supporting customer communication and correspondence.
  • Customer and SI partner training
    • RAMP
  • Customer relationship management
    • Representing Xiocom at all levels of presentations.
    • Building and enhancing customer relationships and loyalty.
    • Supporting distributor, solution and technology partners.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation

 

Secondary responsibilities:

  • Testing and QA activities:
    • Technology monitoring, testing and introduction.
      • Identifying new and innovative technologies.
      • Providing input to R&D.
    • Assist in testing of new or enhanced software solutions.
    • Vendor relationship management - product evaluation.
    • Operational standards and process development.
  • Other project based work as directed by Xiocom management from time to time.

Requirements: 

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in most or all of the following areas:

  • Wireless, Wi-Fi, WiMAX.
  • IP or RF network design and/or deployment experience, preferably at ISP or Telco level.
  • VoIP/VoWi-Fi solutions.
  • Software or system support.
  • Computer network support or troubleshooting.
  • Technical training or group facilitation.
  • The ability to create logical network and site diagrams (Visio or similar.)
  • The ability to create technical documentation for internal use as well as for customers.
  • Prior experience in a multinational equipment vendor, software vendor, service provider or ISP is beneficial and multilingual support is also useful although not mandatory.
  • University or tertiary degree in related field
  • Minimum of five years experience in wireless/networking/telecommunications/engineering fields
  • Must be fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking)

Travel/ Physical:

  • Up to 20% travel possible. Some travel may be required to Bangalore office or overseas for training.
  • Will be required to work in an indoor and sometimes outdoor environment

 

 

Position: Global Director of Product Marketing
Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Seeking an individual with in-depth experience in international B2C and B2B product marketing, specifically in the telecommunications, cable and/or wireless industries .

This role will lead cross functional teams to create and drive the global market requirements for Xiocom's wireless broadband solutions by executing and delivering product marketing activities, such as developing product messaging for all product areas, supporting channel marketing programs, creating go-to-market activities, participating in analyst/press briefings, supporting partner branding activities, attending industry conferences and tradeshows, developing marketing/partner programs driving incremental revenue and supporting revenue attainment activities via active engagement in critical sales calls, ensuring field readiness, and providing sales support. Xiocom's solutions encompass hardware, software, services, support, and the extended ecosystem of solution/technology partners in multiple markets.

Responsibilities include: "Go to Market" plans, managing lifecycles, corporate and partner brand management, strategic and tactical marketing planning, product positioning.  This position requires interaction with regional market and internal team members in Product Development, Support, Sales, Services, Finance, and other departments to ensure market requirements for viable products (and associated services and functions) are known and addressed in Product Marketing plans and deliverables.


Qualifications:

  • Build and communicate the worldwide go-to-market strategy, develop messaging, positioning and communication strategy for all products
  • Drive strategic and tactical product launches, programs and initiatives on a worldwide basis, drive press and analyst relations and provide thought leadership
  • Acquire and apply in-depth knowledge of market trends, competition, customer needs and buying behaviors to develop the business
  • Monitor business and drive plans to help ensure that business objectives are met
  • Gather customer insight that gets reflected in products, sales & marketing strategies and programs
  • Collect customer issues and needs that will translate into product features and requirements
  • Work with Marketing Analyst to conduct market, pricing and competitive research and analyses, including product messaging and branding
  • Understand, utilize and contribute to customer segmentation
  • Work with other core team members to ensure product success.
  • Develop sales tools including product collateral, competitive positioning/positioning materials, channel, training and partner content.
  • Relevant experience and proven ability to manage product from concept through launch to end of life preferably in the international telecommunications market place.
  • Experience creating business plans, meeting  revenue and profitability goals, leading multiple projects and programs simultaneously
  • Experience in both start-up and large organizations.
  • Proactive change agent and problem solver.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple levels of management.
  • Has created compelling value propositions and delivered sustained differentiation specifically in the wireless/telecommunications space.
  • BS/BA in Marketing or related field, MBA preferred, with 8+ years industry-related experience. Excellent written and verbal skills are a must!
